You don’t need to clean every bolt or merge every feature. But a little CAD prep goes a long way. At Studio Renderlijk, we help make the process simple — whether you’re sending files from SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion, or STEP.
Keep It Clean (But Not Too Clean)
Remove unnecessary internal components — no one needs to see the screws inside your housing. Focus on what will be visible. The simpler the model, the faster the rendering — without sacrificing realism.
Use Native or Neutral Formats
If we use the same software (like SolidWorks), native formats are best. Otherwise, STEP or IGES files work fine. If your assembly has references, zip it all together — models, parts, and materials.
Name Smart. Organize Once.
Clear part names save hours. If your model includes “Part1 (13)” five times, nobody wins. A little structure in your folders or tree makes things smoother for everyone down the line.
No Materials? No Problem.
We don’t rely on CAD-applied materials, so there’s no need to stress about colors or textures. But if you already have a materials list or product guide — send it. It helps us stay accurate to your specs and brand.
When you prepare smart, we can focus on what matters: turning your technical model into a beautiful, brand-worthy visual. And if anything’s missing, we’ll let you know — no drama, just solutions.
