At first glance, a render might look “photorealistic.” But real realism isn’t about sharpness or polish — it’s about subtlety. The things people don’t notice consciously, but feel. At Studio Renderlijk, these are the details we obsess over.

Micro-Imperfections

Perfect surfaces don’t exist in the real world. We add tiny scratches on metal, subtle noise in plastics, soft fingerprints on glossy parts — imperfections that your brain registers even if your eyes don’t.

Edge Softness and Depth

In real photography, edges are never razor-sharp all over. We use natural depth of field and slight edge breakup to simulate how real lenses behave — making the product sit in its environment, not float above it.

Natural Reflections

Real reflections aren’t always clear. Sometimes they’re broken, tinted, or barely visible. We calibrate these precisely so materials look authentic — never like plastic, unless it’s meant to be plastic.

Believable Camera Angles

We avoid artificial angles that feel “too perfect.” Instead, we use camera setups that mimic how a photographer would frame the product — grounded, intentional, and slightly imperfect.

What makes a render feel real isn’t how dramatic it looks. It’s how quietly believable it is.
